About Kelly J. Rose
I'm Kelly J. Rose. I'm based in Alberta, Canada, and I'm the founder and CEO of PANDAROSE®. You may also find my published work under Kelly John Rose.
Mathematics, Technology & Business
My career has never fit neatly into one box. Mathematics led me into technology, and technology led me into business. Running a technology company keeps bringing me back to questions about systems, incentives, people, information, and how things actually work.
I've worked professionally in technology since around 2010. That has included custom software, web development, systems integration, managed IT, Microsoft 365, infrastructure, workflow automation, and databases, as well as SEO and digital marketing. My entrepreneurial and technical history has also included earlier work involving 3D printing.
Research & Mathematics
I earned a Bachelor of Mathematics in Combinatorics and Optimization from the University of Waterloo in 2005, followed by a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Calgary in 2009.
My academic background and interests include complex systems, genetic regulatory networks, network flows, computational complexity, and economic systems. The academic archive preserves my master's thesis on continuous models of genetic regulatory networks and the multistability problem, along with Maximum Power Efficiency and Criticality in Random Boolean Networks, which I co-authored with Hilary A. Carteret and Stuart A. Kauffman.
Writing & Projects
I use this site to write about subjects that interest me. I don't try to keep it within the boundaries of a narrowly defined professional blog. There is also business writing at PANDAROSE, and public code and tools on GitHub, including the Homily Podcast Tool.
I keep lists of books I'm reading and papers I'm interested in. For a snapshot of my current attention, see Now; possible projects and questions live on Ideas.
Around the Web
I also use the name Kelly Rose and the handle kjrose.
