Now
What I'm paying attention to and spending my time on at this point in my life.
Work
Much of my attention is on running and growing PANDAROSE®, our Alberta technology company. Our work spans custom software, managed IT, Microsoft 365, websites, integrations, automation, and search visibility.
I'm working on how the company is discovered through traditional search and emerging AI search systems. That includes search engine optimization (SEO), generative engine optimization (GEO), and answer engine optimization (AEO), alongside clearer entity relationships, useful service pages, case studies, internal linking, and better documentation of actual project experience.
I still spend time on hands-on technical work with Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, infrastructure, and web systems. Older platforms such as IBM i remain part of that work when they are useful.
Building
I'm building and refining custom software and workflow automation, particularly around repetitive administrative work: handoffs, follow-ups, exception handling, integrations, reporting, and places where people still move information manually.
I'm also building internal tools to make research, prospecting, content management, sales follow-up, and operational work easier to track and less dependent on memory. AI is part of this exploration, both as a working tool and as something to think with.
Research & Writing
Applied mathematics, complex systems, network flows, economic systems, and computational complexity continue to hold my attention. Measurement, incentives, feedback loops, and unintended consequences turn up in many of the problems I want to understand.
Artificial intelligence, search engines, and AI search also keep raising questions about entity relationships and how information is discovered and understood. Technological archaeology and older computing platforms are another recurring interest: there is a lot to learn from systems that have survived long enough to become unfashionable.
My writing, book list, and paper list give some of that attention a home. The Ideas page collects things I'd like to explore further.
